Phaplu- Everest Base Camp Trek

Namaste and welcome  to From Phaplu - Everest trek,
Trekking route from PhapluThis route passes the Tamang and Sherpa village of the Solu Khumbu. There are many beautiful  Buddhist monasteries, beautiful landscape and cultur. During this trek it is very important that you have to rest one extra day for high acclimatizing in Namche Bazar. After Namche, continue trek to Tangboche,  you can visit very famous Monastery there, then trek  string via Dinboche, Labuche and Kalapathar (5545m) From Kalapatar have beautiful  view of the Mt. Everest, Pumori, Lhotse and many more.  After having great view of the Mt. Everest and many other famous and beautiful peaks you may come back via Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01:Arrival Kathmandu:
Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu:
Free day in Kathmandu include with breakfast.

Day 03: Kathmandu –Phaplu:
Moring 5 Am From Kathmandu by Local bus to Phaplu  about 11hours  (2469) Overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Phaplu – Nunthala:
From Phaplu 5 hours walking to Nunthala (2440m) Overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Nunthala -Buksak .
From Nunthala we descend down to Dudh Koshi River. We pass through terraced farming land as well  are  Rai and Sherpa settlements.Then we follow the Dudh Koshi River in a gently ascending path to the Kharikhola and from there walk or some time in a flat path. We finally climb the steep path to Buksak where we stay overnight. In Busak (2350m) we can visit the ruined Buddhist monastery 6 hours walking overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Bupsa - Surkey (2400m.)
To  day we start our journey ascending the steep path for some time to Khari La pass through the forest of rhododendron and oak. From the pass we can see the views of the mountains like Numbu (6960m.) Gyangchung Kang (7922m.) and Thamserku ().6629m Then we descend to Puyan.We walk through the forest observing the Mountain View.Finally we descend steeply to Surkey, a small Sherpa village at the bottom of Lukla about 6 hours walking (2400m) overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Surkey to Phakding .
After breakfast we walk up in gentle ascending path to Chiplung which is the meeting point of the Jiri and Lukla trekking trail to Everest base camp.Then we walk in the plain path for some time and finally ascend to Phakding (2652m) about 4 hours walking overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Phakding - Namche Bazaar:
From   Phakding 5hours walking to Namche Bazaar (3440m) is surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and faces the Bhote Koshi to the South. overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Rest d
ay  at Namche Bazaar  for acclimatization:
It is an ideal place to spend acclimatizing with the high altitude. For acclimatization you high up to Khumjung where you  enjoy the splendid views of Everest, Ama Dablam,Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawoche, and Kwangde, Dablam, Thamserku- overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Namche Bazaar -Tyangboche:5 hours.
After breakfast  you climb through the forested woods, the incline eases and a splendid views appears. You continue climbing the mountainside diagonally until you come to the stone gate built by the Lamas which marks your entry into Tyangboche (3860m) overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Tyangboche – Dingboche:
From Tyangboche 5 hours walking to the Dingboche is a beautiful patchwork of fields enclosed by stone walls protecting the crops of barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Dingboche - Lobuche:
After breakfast  journey leads north for up to 50 minutes until you come to a Mani-prayer Stupa.  Today's walk offers views of the Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam and to the north-Pokalde (5741m), Kongma-tse (5820m) and the great wall of Nuptse. After two hours walk, the trail from Pheriche joins near thugla (4595m) before a small wooden bridge over the river of Khumbu glacier then Labuche(4930m) 4 hours walking.Overnight at  lodge.

Day 13: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5486m) via Gorakshep (5180m.) and and Coming back to Gorakshep takes about  7 hours walking.
Trek up the valley following the rocky moraine path, view icy glacial ponds and icebergs down below the Khumbu glacier.Gorakshep is the location of the original Everest Base Camp with the new camp being further up the valley. Now the trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier.The views of Nuptse, Lho-La and Khumbu Tse appears at the front of you.Overnight at lodge.

Day 14:Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and then back  to Dzongla (4760m).
Early morning climb to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and enjoy the views of sunrise. From Kala Patthar you can have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbu Tse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more peaks and back to Dzongla 6 hour walking . Overnight at  lodge.

Day 10: Dzongla-Nhagank (4695) Via Cho-la- Chuyghuma Pass (5380.m).6 hours.
Toady early morning breakfast, we start our trek to Cho-La pass. We walk over the glacier is an enjoyable walk and trek to Nhagank overnight at lodge,

Day 11: Nhagank-Gokyo (4750,m)
Easy day Nhagank Gokyo only  two and half hours walking we reach in Lunch time, after lunch you can visit short hiking and rest  day overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Gokyo-Luza: 3 hours,
Today early morning climb up to Gokyo ri (5320,m) evry steep views of the Gokyo valley and Mounting. From Gokyo ri have a wonderful views of Mt Evrest,Cho-yo,Pumauri-Amadablam,Nuptse-Cho-Latse and many more peaks. After spending some time there, we make our way down to Gokyo and Luza overnight at Lodge,

Day 13: Luza-Namche:
From Luza 5 hours walking to Namche overnight at Lodge.

Day 14: Namche-Luka,
From Namche 7 hours walking to Lukla last day of your trip overnight at lodge.

Day 15: Lukla-Kathmandu.
From Lukla fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day  16: Kathmandu.
Today your free day at Kathmandu hotel include with bed and breakfast.

Day 17: Departure.
After breakfast transfer to Kathmandu airport for your departure.
