Useful Information for Nepal trek
Useful Information for Nepal trek
The tea house trek will be led by a licensed guide, a porter, and a cook, whereas the camping trek will be led by a guide, a cook, and more porters. The trek can be done regardless of the number of people. Suitable for Nepal treks are the tea house treks which can accommodate 20 people and the camping treks which can accommodate 12 people. We can arrange a trip for either one person or for two people or for over two people. If there are more people on the trek then the cost will be less.
The accommodation options in Kathmandu and the trekking route
Our first stop will be the Samsara Resort, The Beautiful Kathmandu Hotel, and the Nepal Cottage Resort, as well as the tea houses trek. Twin-sharing accommodations will be provided. There is an additional charge for single accommodations. In some places, teahouses have only shared facilities for washing and toilets; however, the Nepal Alsace trekking company organizes rooms with attached washrooms. Please note that single rooms can be found easily in Kathmandu and at lower elevations in trekking regions; however, it may be more challenging in higher elevations.

Meals
As well as authentic Nepalese cuisine, we can also enjoy Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, and Chinese cuisine during our trek. The teahouse lodge menu will be served for breakfast, dinner, and lunch at the lodge where we stay the night, while lunch will be served en route to the next stop. Trekking trips will include all meals, while Kathmandu will only offer breakfast.
A Travel insurance policy
Travel Insurance is highly recommended for all clients who are going to take part in any of our adventure activities. Insurers must provide coverage for personal accidents, medical expenses, air ambulance, helicopter rescue services, and liability.
Please provide us with your insurance policy before you depart. However, we would already have requested a copy of your insurance policy when you booked with us. If you are insured, please make sure you have the policy number and emergency contact information for your insurance company. For emergency situations, we need the required information from your insurance company if this is not available.
Sleeping back for the Trek
In addition to giving you peace of mind while you travel with us, good travel insurance will also provide you with complete coverage in case anything goes wrong.
Acclimatization
As the itinerary for this trek is designed with a high awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), going up at high altitudes too fast can cause a potentially fatal medical condition. Higher altitudes will have less oxygen in the air. The oxygen concentration drops by 50% above 5000m when compared to sea level. As a result, our bodies take many days to adapt to a low-oxygen environment.
We recommend that guests with heart, lung, blood or other diseases consult their physician before traveling to Nepal. The common symptoms of AMS include mild headaches, fever, loss of appetite, and stomach pain. Learn more about altitude sickness.
Physical and experience requirements
The trek requires walkers to be capable of walking for 5-7 hours per day with a light pack. Trekking at higher altitudes is physically more challenging than trekking at lower altitudes, but if we are in good health, if we are fit, we are confident and determined, we can achieve our goals. We can improve our strength and stability by exercising and jogging regularly for a few weeks before the trip. The trip can be completed without technical skills, but previous hiking experience would be advantageous. If you have pre-existing health conditions such as heart, lung, or blood diseases, consult your doctor before going on the trip. In addition, it is recommended that you inform them about the Nepal Alsace trek before you book it.
