The official name of the country is: Nepal Federated Democratic Republic

Dimensions: 147, 181 sq. km

Landlocked; Tibet in the north and India in the south; highest point Mt. Everest 8848 m and lowest Keshena 60m above sea level.

Nepal’s capital: Kathmandu has been described as a “city of temples” around the world.

Climate in Nepal

Nepal has a subtropical climate in the lowlands and an arctic climate at higher elevations. There are four seasons in Nepal, namely winter December – February, spring March-May, monsoon June – August, and autumn September – November). Spring and autumn are recommended seasons for trekking and tours.
