Duration For Climbing Both Peaks.

Approximately -8 days Climbing from Chhukung (including acclimatization and climbing days) Difficulty: Strenuous due to high altitude and technical climbing

Day 1: Dingboche (4,730m) – Acclimatization

Arrive in Chhukung. Spend the day acclimatizing and resting. Short hikes around Chhukung to adapt to the altitude.

Day 2: Chhukung – Island Peak Base Camp (4,970m)

Trek to Island Peak Base Camp. Gain altitude gradually to aid acclimatization. Set up camp at the base camp. walking time: 4-5 hours

Day 3: Island Peak Base Camp – Summit (6,189m) -Base camp

Summit Day for Island Peak. Start very early in the morning (usually around 2-3 AM). Technical climbing involving fixed ropes and ice axes. Reach the summit for sunrise if possible. Descend back to Island Peak Base Camp walking hours 8-9 hours

Day 4: Base Camp – Dingboche (4,410m)

Trek back to Dingboche  6-7 hours walking Overnight at Dingboche.

Day 5: Dingboche – Feriche (4.240m)

After Lunch 2-3 hours of walking to Pheriche. Stay overnight at Pheriche.

Day 6: Feriche to Lobuche High Camp (5,400m)

Climb to Lobuche High Camp. Set up camp and rest. Trekking time: 4-5 hours

Day 7: Lobuche High Camp – Summit (6,119m) – Lobuche Base Camp

Summit day for Lobuche Peak. Start early for the technical ascent. Similar climbing equipment as Island Peak. Reach the summit and descend back to Lobuche Base Camp. Climbing time: 9-11 hours

Day 8: Final Departure from High Camp

From high camp, you can go your trek to EBC Base camp or back to Namche
