Gokyo Lake trek cost

The Gokyo Trek is a popular trekking route in the Khumbu region of Nepal, which is located in the northeastern part of Nepal and is home to the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.

How to get to Lukla from Kathmandu: The trek usually starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small town in the Khumbu region. From Lukla, the trail leads to Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town and the gateway to the Khumbu region. The trail then continues to Dole, Machhermo, and eventually to Gokyo, a small village near the stunning Gokyo Lakes.

The Gokyo Lakes Gokyo Ri: are a series of six glacial lakes located at an altitude of 4,700 to 5,000 meters above sea level. The lakes are known for their turquoise color and are surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, including the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal. The trek also offers the opportunity to climb Gokyo Ri, a peak located at an altitude of (5,357 Meters). From the summit of Gokyo Ri, trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.

Alternative way from Gokyo: This is a great alternative to the more popular Everest Base Camp Trek and is ideal for those who want to experience the stunning scenery of the Khumbu region while avoiding crowds. The trek requires a good level of fitness and acclimatization to the high altitude, but with proper preparation and a good guide, it is an unforgettable experience.

Accommodation Gokyo Lake Trek: The Everest Gokyo trek is well-maintained and relatively comfortable. In this area, you will find accommodation options ranging from ultra-budget to hotels similar to those in Nepal’s cities, with hot showers and electric blankets on the beds.

Toilet and Bathroom service in Gokyo Lake Trek: On the Annapurna, Langtang & Everest trek, shared toilet facilities are more common than en-suite bathrooms. They may be located in the main building or an outhouse. There are two types of toilets: Western-style and squat. Places at higher altitudes tend to have more basic amenities. It’s a good idea to bring your toilet paper and soap, as well as hand sanitizer. Toilet paper is usually disposed of in a trash can next to the toilet (or a battered old metal can). Scoop water from a nearby bucket with whatever receptacle you have to flush the squat toilet.

Where we eat our dinner: Meals are always served in the dining room, so you can meet other trekkers there. In higher accommodations, the dining room usually has a fire around dinnertime.

Hot shower and other: Over the first few days, you’ll find hot showers, but chances diminish as you climb up the mountain. As a fuel for cooking and heating, the gas must be transported by mules. but there might be very little pressure under the spray in a cold room. When you reach more than 3000 meters high you get cold. But hotel people will charge little money for the hitter charge.

Drinking water in Gokyo Lake Trek: Bottles of water are easily available during the trekking route of Nepal. But you cannot use plastic bottles in Everest and Annapurna regions. So, they don’t sell plastic mineral water therefore you can take boiled water from the lodge which costs 100 Nepali rupees. It is better to use water purification drops and tablets which you can either bring from your country or can buy in Kathmandu.

If you are first time walking to Mountain area: Whatever your fitness level, as long as you can walk for 5-6 hours a day and trek-hike a few uphills, Nepal Alsace Trek & Expedition will help you to realize your dream of seeing the Everest Gokyo trek.

Food items in Gokyo Trek: During the tea house lodge trekking, you will find typical foods such as Noodles, Rice, Pasta, Potato dishes, fresh vegetables, eggs, and Chicken items for dinner and Lunch. Breakfast items Tibetan bread, Pancake, muesli, Porridge, and toast with peanut butter. Honey and jam.

Charging batteries Service: In most of the trekking regions, there is electricity whereby you will be able to charge your iPod and Camera batteries but they charge you extra money 100 to 400 Nepali rupees per hour.

Necessary Trekking Permits for Gokyo Lake Trek: You just need  Sagarmatha National Park, and a TIMS Card for the Everest Gokyo Valley trekking it is compulsory for the trekkers.

If you need communication Service in Gokyo Trek: In Kathmandu, you can buy Ncell SIM cards almost anywhere. These cards are very helpful when trekking to Everest base camp and Gokyo Valley. In most places, Ncell’s network coverage is excellent, except for the Everest region trekking area.

Gokyo Lake Trekking Guide: It is most likely that you will need some assistance from your guide since he speaks fluent English and is well-educated. For the trek to Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp, we will provide all the necessary permits. We look forward to taking you on one of the most memorable journeys of your life.

Transport Service for Gokyo Lake Trek: You must fly from Kathmandu to Lukla Kathmandu. If you have an extra day then you can return by Local Jeep from Buksa, but it takes 15 hours to Kathmandu it is a very long travel.
